Hi, My name is Pieter Valk. I graduated from art school with a minor in interior design and a major in art direction. After graduating I have always worked in media and communications but in my spare time read, devoured and breathed interior styling. I recently did an advanced course in interior design and have since worked as a designer next to running my own PR company with a focus on the interior design and home-deco industries.

My house stays the same for a week max before I add, delete, change, alter or move bits and pieces. I must say, right now it is at that point where it just might stay that way for a while with the exception of the occasional accessory change.

I love writing about what inspires me and what I stumble upon online or offline.

    great initiative, this! Our new house is currently being built so keep those ideas coming. And yes, you may be the first to take pictures when it’s all ready and furnished …

    I love your place! I wanted to see if you would be interested in applying for HGTV’s new design show. HGTV’s new international design series is looking for four homeowners who have moved to Amsterdam and have turned their house into a home. The show will focus on exploring the overall design of the home as well as the lifestyle and culture of the city. In each episode, the host will explore four homes looking for great design ideas and highlighting the value-added elements within each space. From interior design to the lifestyle and culture of the area, the homeowners will give viewers a first hand look of what it’s like to live overseas.
