Showcase your interior design talent on Youtube

As some of you might know, my actual grown up job is PR consulting. Recently I was interviewed for a website about PR and the impact of social media. As an example of how social media can help you build your brand or business I would like to share some video’s I found on Youtube. They were made and uploaded by Rebecca Robeson of Robeson design in San Diego.

Wether or not you like her style is a matter of taste, I think she is very talented, but I admire how she manages to combine my two passions in life; interior design and PR. Her video’s show that she is determined, has creative ideas, understands her clients, has style and they are fun to watch.

Floor plan porn…..

Look at this magnificent apartment. It’s the Penthouse of the mother of all real estate pearls; 15 Central Park West. To be fair, it’s ‘just’ the penthouse of the lower part. But it faces Central Park, and has terraces overlooking it on pretty much all sides. Hence it’s rather steep asking price of $88.000.000….. That means Greece couldn’t afford it.

I love a bit of floor plan porn in the morning. Thanks to Real Estalker for the original post!

Frances Bean Cobain all grown up…..

Frances Bean, daughter of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and singer/actress/tabloid filler Courtney Love, grew up. Off course she did, but somehow it shock me to realize she is old enough to buy a house! And a nice one might I add. When her father killed himself in 1994, a trust fund was set up for her to ensure financial security. With Nirvana being one of the best-selling bands of all time, the dough surely rolled in last year when she turned 18. The house she bought is modest, both in size and price, but nice enough for a 19-year-old!

The house is a 1930’s Spanish style home with 3.350 square feet, 4 bedrooms and 3,5 baths in a quiet canyon in the Hollywood Hills. Mrs Bean reportedly paid $1,825,000 for it. It retains many of the original architectural and decorative details such as hand-forged iron work, colorful decorative tiles, numerous stained and leaded glass windows, hand-stenciled wood beams, and vintage light fixtures and hardware. I absolutely love it to be honest.

At home with celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe

Rachel Zoe has an eye for style. As stylist of stars like Debra Messing, Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore and Kate Hudson she is very much considered one of the top stylists today. Her wonderful Los Angeles homes is testament to the fact that she knows her way with interior design too. I love how she stuck with furniture she had in her old house like the dining room table and chairs. It shows she’s doesn’t buy style, but she actually has it. Why get rid of something you like just because you are moving house?

One slight concern. An awful lot of white for a family with a newborn baby….
