Shake hands with the door handle

Open the door by shaking hands with it! I love this door handle. Unfortunately is has a typical designer name as it’s called Door Hand-le, which puts a bit of a tacky stamp on the design. Maybe just for one door? Or a cupboard?

It is designed Naomi Thellier de Poncheville and available through her website.

Illuminated bed Poesy

With this bed you don’t need a night lamp by your bed anymore. It is illuminated!
It changes colour and can be programmed to wake you up too! It was designed by Philippe Boulet, a young French designer who caught the attention of Philippe Starck when he was still in art school. He already won several important awards for his designs. The bed is called Poesy and costs around €6877

What does the house of design expert Nate berkus look like?

Design guru Nate Berkus, of Oprah Winfrey fame, can look back, and likely forward, on a magnificent career in Interior Design. Since he started his own company in 1995, he designed some of the most prestigious interiors in the United States and abroad. After Oprah picked him up to be the design expert on her show, there was no holding back. Nate is an established name in the world of interiors. And he is cute too…

Ever wondered how this talented guy would decorate his own home? Well, we’re in luck as he recently put his Chicago condo on the market. Lot’s of stunning images to gawk at!

I love how the house looks accidentally fabulous as opposed to designed. What do you think?

Thanks Elle Decor for the images and Hookedonhouses for the original post!

Showcase your interior design talent on Youtube

As some of you might know, my actual grown up job is PR consulting. Recently I was interviewed for a website about PR and the impact of social media. As an example of how social media can help you build your brand or business I would like to share some video’s I found on Youtube. They were made and uploaded by Rebecca Robeson of Robeson design in San Diego.

Wether or not you like her style is a matter of taste, I think she is very talented, but I admire how she manages to combine my two passions in life; interior design and PR. Her video’s show that she is determined, has creative ideas, understands her clients, has style and they are fun to watch.
