An oldie, as I think it was designed in 2009, but boy is it good! This clever and eye-catching print by Anthony Burrill. For sale in various web shops and on the website of Mr Burrill himself. ($65)

Goerge VI liked baths. And he liked to take naps after his baths. He would stretch out on a daybed by TOP French designer of those days, Jacques Adnet. Andre Arbus was inspired by the regal recliner and designed the Du Roi 7391CS chaise for Baker Furniture. The chaise was part of the King’s Bedroom interior at the Palais de l’Elysee, home of the President of the French Republic well into the 20th Century. It´s yours for around $8.500.

Loving this! A calendar that indicates the passing of days by ink absorbed by paper. One a day, the numbers are filled with ink until at the end of the month, the paper is full. Every month has its own color ink, representing the season. December for instance in blue, while spring is orange/red. (which in my book represents autumn actually) Unfortunately the calendar is not for sale, but was produced as a prototype for the London Design Festival. The design is by Oscar Diaz

I was invited to the presentation the Riviera Maison summer collection. Just like when I was there for the Spring collection, I was given a private tour of the showroom. Lots of bold and bright colours this year, with the Caribbean as one of the main themes. Not really my cup of tea as the colours were a bit too girly for my liking. I did however see a few items I really like. For instance this shoe rack.
It is not cheap at €299,- but very stylish.
They also have these acrylic ‘glasses’ that look like they are made of crystal. Great for a chic picnic or a fancy camping trip. Or at home if you are clumsy or have kids or dogs with long tails that sweep the crystal of your coffee-table. I like the fact that they look quite real. On the tour we had to pick them up to check if maybe they weren’t real ones. The tumblers are € 5,95 and the wine glasses € 6,95.
