Nate Berkus Chicago abode not selling well…

A little over a year after it was featured right here on Homevoyeurs.com, Mr Berkus further reduced the price of his Chicago apartment to $1,890,000. Still hefty, but considering its original asking price of $2,650,000, a pretty decent discount! I absolutely love the style of Nate Berkus, which was obvious from my post last year. For a high-profile designer, he changed very little since, as I do believe these are newer pictures. But when it’s right, it’s right, and boy is it ever.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s house on the market

Sarah Jessica Parker and her lovely husband Matthew Broderick (or Ferris for friends) have done quite the house flip. They put down $18.995 million for a Greenwich Village Redstone townhouse and now put it back on the market for $24.995 million. That is quite the increase and would make for a lovely profit to enhance their already comfortable means…. There’s some debate as to what exactly they did with the place as even the art in the pictures is the same from an original listing back in 2009, but it sure looks nice enough to me!

The floor plans show that there are 7 bedrooms, including one in the garden room right by the kitchen. Great for a maid or au-pair! 5 full, and 3 half baths make for enough to not to worry about standing in line in the morning. The kitchen looks great. But the two back bedrooms on the third floor look odd to say the least. The entire fourth floor is reserved for the master bed, bath and his-n-hers walk in wardrobes.

$480.000.000 London home for sale.

I checked by bank accounts but am short about $479.999.999. Pity, because otherwise I could have afforded this lovely little pied-a-terre in posh Kensington, London that’s on the market for 300 million GBP…. It’s got 45 bedrooms spread out over a total of 7 stories and boasts a view of London’s Hyde Park. It was owned by Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the deceased Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. Now as we all know sultans and such are famous for their understated class and sense of style…NOT! So no surprise that this house is whispered to be decorated with gold leaf.. Classy right?

Have a yabbadabbadoo time in this house in Malibu!

Had to post this. It’s been done before for sure, or at least contemplated, and I still think the architects of Maison Bulles in Théoule-sur-Mer France were inspired by the Flinstones, or possibly the Jetsons. But never have I seen a house so in keep with the theme as this one. It’s in Malibu, off course it is. TV host Dick Clark  decided to put it on the market shortly before his death in April this year. My guess is that the asking price of ‘only’ $3,500,000 is because it is not everybody’s taste. Cause if it is, and you’re rich, than the house with its magical ocean views is yours for a price well under what the neighbours paid!
